This book of poetry is purely about the year 2020. With so many unexpected happenings, I was thrust into an emotional rollercoaster just a few days into January. At the time I wondered if it was a sign of things to come or was life going to take a dramatic and significant up turn to be more positive. It was a mixed bag.

Despite all of the challenges faced in the first 6 months of the year, I was still positive and still enjoying life with its unexpected occurrences and turbulent times. This felt like a perfect opportunity to write as I was almost being given weekly inspiration for long and short poetry.

Some of the poetry in here I'm sure you'll be able to relate to as many of shared similar experiences throughout the year. The commonality of the pandemic and its aftermath being the most prominent one.

This book won't be available until the 2022, so for me this is an interesting project to undertake as I have no clue how the book will conclude and I am actually excited to see its end. The rest of 2020 is a mystery.

QUARANTINE

This is the quarantine none expected

A droll life, no one wants to accept it

2020 a new decade. Revealing the best bits,

a struggle, the plan was investments

Quarantine; learning mounds of patience

UNCRIED TEARS

Uncried tears phantomly stream down my desert cheeks

Lugging with them a story of pain and heartache

The hefty load weighs my smile down with sorrow, my strapping body's weak

The invisible trails upon my face paint a map of anguish, for goodness sake!

As these illusory droplets wash away effortlessly, they remove all trauma

See the clear directions to my hurt; the world happily ignores them

Icy cold, blisteringly hot, inconsequential to the rivers flow. I'll cause no drama

My visions unblurred, to the destination I'll continue. Burden of uncried tears of men

Back peddling unpleasantly,

much progression technologically...

Systematically?
